First, let me say...the cartoon is not to be interpreted and we are not pregnant again! I know this happens to some people while nursing and we are toying with the idea of a 3rd but let's all say a little prayer that we at least get through Kyler's first year before that happens. That being said, someone gave us this cartoon while we were pregnant with Kyler and I think it is so cute and still timely in that the new iphones were released just over a week ago. Any of you who know Cory even just a little probably know that he has something of a passion for technology, namely Apple computers. OK, that's putting it mildly...he wholeheartedly loves all things Apple-truly, madly, deeply! It's an unconditional love that has kept him true since the 80's when he purchased his first Performa. Well, it has come to my attention that maybe his love is not as strong as we thought. Apparently, if you are a true Apple fan and there are people out there who are, you must put jobs, families, and seemingly normal lives on hold all to fly to New Zealand and be one of the first to purchase the aforementioned new iphones. Really? Aren't the iphones going to be available in the US as well? Yes. Are the iphones in New Zealand somehow better than the ones for sale in the US? Not as far as I know. Are they giving them away to the first 200 customers? I doubt it very much! So, I should probably know this but how much earlier is it really there? Too long to wait until the Apple store opens here with the exact same phones? I'm sorry for all the questions but, does this seem a little extreme to anyone but me? I'm pretty sure these people could've saved enough cash to pay for the phone and AT&T service on the thing for a year just by driving to Penn Square mall to get it...Anyway, I will admit that the iphone is a pretty cool little slice of technology and I wouldn't mind having one of my own. Especially since the phone I currently carry dates back to my pre-kid era but I will at least wait until there are more available within a 30 mile radius and probably longer because I don't want to switch service providers. Cory, on the other hand, may be headed to a "technology conference" in New Zealand one of these days!
