Yesterday we decided to brave the heat and take a little trip to the zoo! It really wasn't that bad until about 1:00 when we left and headed straight to our neighborhood pool to cool off!

We loved watching this little black bear sit and splash in the water! So cute!
Our new favorite thing to see is the Oklahoma Trails exhibit. We love the bears, bats and fish. As we were checking out the big fish tank full of catfish, bass and a paddlenose something or other, Kayla spotted a fish being a little too still on the bottom of the tank (not pictured!). Following is the conversation that ensued...

Following is the conversation that ensued...K: Mommy, look, I think that fish is dead.
Me: Ohhh, he is being very still, isn't he...maybe he's just resting.
K: (with a whatever, mom tone) Uh huh. Or maybe he's dead.
I am finding it more difficult to sugar coat things these days! I hope that fish really was just resting and if not, that he was removed promptly. It did remind me of Kayla's name for the card game Go Fish, she calls it Ghost Fish. HA!
